| Meghalaya Police Constable Exam Pattern Details |
Exam Pattern: Meghalaya Police Constable Exam will consists of following stages, i.e.
1. Physical Measurement Tests (PMT)
2. Physical Efficiency Test
3. Written Examination
Written Examination: Meghalaya Police Constable Written examination will be conducted for the candidates who qualify in the Physical Efficiency Tests. The written examination for category 1 posts – shall consist of one paper only, comprising of elementary and basic knowledge of English, Basic Arithmetic and Basic General Awareness. This paper will be on multiple choice / OMR based basis and will carry a maximum of 200 marks. There shall be no written test for followers. For followers, a trade test of 50 marks will be
conducted.
The scheme of recruitment tests:
Category 1 posts : For recruitment to the posts of Commandos/Constables, Mechanics, Drivers & Signal/ Communication staff:
| 1. Physical Efficiency Tests | 200 marks |
| 2. Written Examination | 200 marks |
| 3. Interview | 50 marks |
| Total | 450 marks |
IMPORTANT NOTE : The written examination for the post of Driver Constables shall also contain multiple choice questions on motor vehicle mechanism, spare parts, maintenance, traffic signage, etc.
Category 2 posts: For recruitment to the Posts of followers:-
| 1. Physical Efficiency Tests | 200 marks |
| 2. Trade Test cum Interview | 50 marks |
| 3. Total | 250 marks |
